CZ builds pistols the way people who shoot pistols competitively would design them. The CZ 75's slide-inside-frame layout gives a low bore axis and a hand-filling grip, and it has been copied more widely than almost any handgun since the Browning Hi-Power.

The Shadow 2 dominates production-division competition. Elsewhere CZ makes excellent rimfire rifles and the Scorpion pistol-calibre carbines, and the shotgun line is quietly good value.
