Bipods & Shooting Sticks

Support is the cheapest accuracy anyone can buy. Most shooters can halve their group size from a stable rest without changing anything about the rifle, which makes a bipod a better first purchase than almost any upgrade to the gun itself.

Pick by where you shoot. A bipod attaches to the rifle and is ideal prone or on a bench, but adds weight you carry all day. Shooting sticks weigh almost nothing and work from a seated or kneeling position, which is how most field shots actually happen. Tripods are heaviest and steadiest and double as glassing platforms. Check the mounting standard before buying — Picatinny, M-LOK, KeyMod and sling stud are not interchangeable.
