Holsters

A holster has exactly two non-negotiable duties: cover the trigger guard completely, and hold the gun in the same place every time. Everything else — material, ride height, cant, retention level — is preference. A holster that fails either of those is not a cheaper option, it is a hazard.

Position drives the rest. Inside the waistband conceals better and is less comfortable; outside the waistband is more comfortable and needs a cover garment. Appendix carry is fast and conceals well on many body types and demands real discipline about what is downrange when you reholster. Buy for the exact gun and the exact light or optic you run — a holster cut for a bare pistol will not take one with a light.
