Holosun took the pistol red dot from a specialist purchase to something most carry guns can justify, largely by shipping features at prices that forced the rest of the market to respond.

Solar backup alongside the battery, shake-awake that sleeps until the gun moves, and multi-reticle systems that switch between a dot and a circle-dot are now expected because Holosun made them ordinary. The 507 and 508 series are the pistol mainstays.
