Traditions Performance Firearms sits either side of the muzzleloading market. At one end are historically styled Kentucky and Hawken rifles and the flintlock and percussion kit guns people build themselves. At the other are modern in-line rifles like the NitroFire, aimed squarely at muzzleloader hunting seasons.

The NitroFire is the one worth knowing about, because it uses the Federal FireStick — a sealed, pre-measured propellant charge loaded from the breech, with only the projectile going down the muzzle. It makes loading consistent and unloading trivial, both of which are the traditional pain points. Some states restrict it in muzzleloader seasons, so check your regulations before buying.
