Walther has made handguns since 1886 and invented the modern double-action pistol with the PP. The current business rests on ergonomics: the PDP's grip texture and slide serrations are widely considered the best in production.

The PPQ trigger was the benchmark striker-fired trigger for years, and the PPK remains famous for reasons that have little to do with shooting it. These are guns that reward being picked up before being bought.
